The fourth USL W League 2024 regular season award was announced on Thursday. Georgia Brown was named Defender of the Year after her impressive campaign with Florida Elite Soccer Academy. 

Georgia started all 11 matches played this season, totaling 944 minutes of action. The centerback helped the team to a perfect 12-0-0 record and a first-place finish in the Southeast Division. The defense conceded only six goals all season. 

Georgia, a senior at the University of South Florida, was an offensive threat just as much as a defensive anchor. The 6’1 defender recorded nine goals on the season, many of which came from headers. She also tallied one assist.
