W League Power Rankings: Week 4

Tennessee stays perfect, Eagle FC and Long Island Rough Riders crack the top 10

Every club has officially kicked off their 2024 W League campaigns, bringing the competition to an all-time high. Last week was full of intense matches that caused some teams to fall and others to jump up in the standings.  

Eagle FC and Midwest United make their Power Rankings season debut, and Long Island Rough Riders and FC Olympia have moved their way up into the top 10.

The Southeast Division continues to be dominated by Florida Elite, which earned its fourth straight road victory on Saturday. The team took on Miami AC in a back-and-forth battle and came from behind to win 5-2.

Eagle FC powered into the top 5 after winning three matches within a span of a week. University of Louisville goalkeeper Malene Nielsen has kept clean sheets in every match, while Gabrielle Eckroth and Courtney Butlion are the top scorers with three goals each
5 Midwest United FC

Next match: vs. Flint City AFC, 5/30 7:00 p.m. ET


Similar to Eagle FC, Midwest United came out with three wins in eight days to make it into the Power Rankings for the first time this season. MUFC grabbed home and away victories against Michiana Lions and earned a huge win 1-0 against Kalamazoo FC after Megan Wilson scored the game-winner in the 84th minute.
6 SF Flens SC

Next match: @ The Olympic Club, 5/28 6:30p.m. PT


It was only a matter of time before last year’s NorCal Division champs entered the Power Rankings. SF Glens defeated Academica SC before earning a strong 3-0 win against Stockton Cargo, who had yet to concede a goal until then.
7 Long Island Rough Riders

The Rough Riders have opened their season with two huge wins in a row, outscoring their opponents 19-1. Stony Brook University forward Luciana Setteducate scored four goals to help Long Island earn its most recent victory over Manhattan SC.
8 NC Fusion

NC Fusion has also opened the season with three straight wins – two at home and one on the road – to make its debut in the top 10. The Fusion’s main strength is its well-rounded offense, as all eight of their goals have been spread across seven scorers.

FC Olympia makes its way into the top 10 after winning back-to-back matches to start the season. Most recently against Lane United, Olympia grabbed an early lead by scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes and added two more later in the match to take home three points.
10 Minnesota Aurora FC

Next match: vs. RKC Third Coast, 5/30 7:00 p.m. CT


Minnesota Aurora took home four points after opening the season with two road matches last week. Aurora earned a convincing 8-0 win against the Chicago Dutch Lions, and they immediately responded with a goal to draw 1-1 with River Light FC
